By remaining rooted in Christ, we seek to release art that builds the Kingdom, heals the heart, and draws people closer to God.

Who We Are

Remaining Rooted Collective is a Christ-centered arts organization devoted to glorifying God, building the Kingdom, and transforming hearts through creative expression. Rooted in faith and driven by community, we exist to equip, empower, and elevate artists, churches, and art lovers across Pittsburgh and beyond.

We believe that the arts—when aligned with the Holy Spirit—have the power to heal, unify, and awaken people to the truth and beauty of the gospel. And we’re here to create a space where that power can flourish.

What We Do

At Remaining Rooted Collective, we are cultivating a dynamic, Kingdom-minded creative movement through a wide range of offerings designed to serve both the Church and the community:

  • Partnering with Churches

We collaborate with churches to help build and elevate their creative ministries, offering guidance, discipleship, and support for teams in dance, drama, mime, worship, visual arts, and more. We also bring our services directly to churches by hosting on-site classes, workshops, and training opportunities. Members of partnering churches can access our programs, services, and resources either for free or at a reduced cost.

  • Launching Community Ministries

We host our own vibrant "community ministries" made up of creatives across the city—including a worship team, dance team, drama team, mime team, creative team, choir/A Cappella group, and more. These teams not only create and perform but serve as a family for artists to grow in their gifts and their faith.

  • Developing Artists

Through one-on-one mentorship and discipleship, we offer private lessons in voice, piano, guitar, photography, and other creative disciplines—open to anyone, whether they’re looking to serve their church or simply grow in faith-based artistry.

  • Hosting Creative Community Events

We are committed to building a network of Kingdom creatives by regularly hosting community-wide events:

  • Open mic nights

  • Worship nights

  • “Paint & Pray” gatherings

  • Creative workshops

  • Artist showcases & theatrical productions

These gatherings provide space for connection, inspiration, and spiritual growth.

  • Creating a Christ-Centered Arts Hub

Our future creative center will be a home for faith-based artists and the community at large, offering access to:

  • A black box theater

  • Dance and ceramics studios

  • A recording studio

  • Shared creative workspaces

  • A full-service café for connection and collaboration

This space will also host community classes—Zumba, dance, writing, painting, and more—open to believers and non-believers alike.

  • Sharing Our Work

From our community teams to our individual artists, we will record and release original content on platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music—and take that art into churches and public spaces to inspire and minister.

We also produce and perform both pre-existing shows like Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, and Children of Eden, as well as original works written and developed by members of our own creative community.

  • Learning From Industry Experts

We will invite professional artists, worship leaders, and creatives to pour into our community through workshops and speaking engagements—open to all churches and anyone seeking to grow in excellence and calling.

But first…

Where We’re Starting
As we lay the foundation for Remaining Rooted Collective, our first steps are all about building momentum, connection, and community. In this exciting beginning phase, we are focusing on:

  • Offering Zumba classes both at our space and in local churches as a fun, faith-centered way to care for our bodies and connect with others.

  • Launching private lessons in voice, piano, guitar, photography, and more to begin investing in the artistic and spiritual development of individuals—whether church members or walk-ins from the greater community.

  • Hosting monthly community events like worship nights, open mics, and creative gatherings to grow our network of Kingdom-minded artists and spark meaningful collaboration.

These initial offerings are just the beginning of the vision God has given us—to see Pittsburgh and beyond transformed by the arts and the power of His presence. We’d love for you to grow with us.

Our Heart

An open book with pages curled and illuminated by a lit candle in the background.

We exist to break down walls—between denominations, between artists and the Church, between the sacred and the creative. We long to see the body of Christ in Pittsburgh united, and to provide spaces where creativity and calling meet to glorify God.

Through every event, every song, every brushstroke, and every gathering, our heart remains the same:

To remain rooted in Christ, and to cultivate art that builds the Kingdom, heals the heart, and brings people closer to God.
