Artistic Director & Co-FounderBorn and raised just south of Pittsburgh, Minnie Jones Boose has always been a dynamic blend of creativity, leadership, and faith. Though she studied engineering in college, her time there was anything but one-dimensional. Minnie served as President of both the concert and chamber choirs, founded and led the campus a cappella group, sat on the executive board for Habitat for Humanity, was Secretary of the Student Government Association, and received the JoAnne Day Student of the Year Award —just to name a few.
With a heart for service, Minnie completed two AmeriCorps terms through Public Allies and KEYS, and is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Collaborative. She's spent years working with children, developing and teaching original arts-based curricula that have reached hundreds of students.
Minnie is also a seasoned performing artist with a wide range of experience in Pittsburgh’s arts scene—including directing, choreographing, set designing, composing music, creative writing (for which she’s received awards), graphic design, and performing in both theatre and musical theatre. She has experience leading a worship team, is a licensed Zumba instructor, and a professional character performer, delighting children and families alike through Fairytale Princess Visits that blend imagination, storytelling, and joy.
Her deepest passion is bridging the gap between art and faith, creating sacred spaces where others can encounter God through creative expression. She believes the arts are not only a tool for worship but a way to heal, connect, and uplift communities.
Professionally, Minnie has also worked in operations and project management, bringing a strong problem-solving mindset to her work and a commitment to building systems that support people and purpose.
Minnie married her husband Quinten in 2024, and they welcomed their first daughter, Selah Mikelle, in February 2025. Together, they share three beloved cats, a love for hiking and spontaneous road trips, and a unified vision to cultivate creativity, worship, and community through Remaining Rooted Collective.

Executive Director & Co-founderQuinten Boose is a purpose-driven leader whose life and career reflect a deep commitment to service, healing, and community transformation. With a background spanning film, law enforcement, sociology, and ministry, he brings a rare blend of creativity, strategy, and compassion to his role as Executive Director of Remaining Rooted Collective.
Raised as an Army brat on a military base, Quinten was deeply shaped by one place in particular: the community center. It was more than just a building—it was a vibrant hub where kids and families found connection, mentorship, safety, and purpose. That space left a lifelong impression on him and became the blueprint for the kind of community-rooted environment he now feels called to recreate.
Through Remaining Rooted Collective, Quinten’s vision is to one day establish a permanent building that functions much like the community center of his childhood: a place where creativity, faith, healing, and belonging are cultivated side by side. For him, this is more than a dream—it’s a full-circle calling.
Quinten began his undergraduate studies in film, driven by his love of storytelling and photography, before transitioning to sociology to deepen his understanding of people and systems. He then went on to earn a Master of Public Policy and Management (MPPM) from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA).
During his educational pursuit, Quinten became one of the youngest detectives in the city of Pittsburgh, serving as a Special Victims Detective and a trained SWAT negotiator. These roles sharpened his ability to lead with empathy, strategy, and care—skills he brings into every area of his current work.
Quinten now serves as the Director of Violence Reduction at the Neighborhood Resilience Project, where he leads trauma-informed strategies to address cycles of violence and restore hope in vulnerable communities.
Quinten and Minnie were married in April 2024 and welcomed their daughter, Selah Mikelle, in February 2025. Together, they enjoy hiking, vlogging, road trips, and life with their three cats. Through Remaining Rooted Collective, Quinten is working toward the day when the organization has its own permanent home—a space modeled after the community center that changed his life, and one that will do the same for generations to come.

About the Founders
Minnie & Quinten Boose
Minnie and Quinten Boose, co-founders of Remaining Rooted Collective, first met at church—bonding over their shared desire to grow closer to God. In fact, their very first conversation was Minnie offering Quinten tips on how to deepen his relationship with the Lord. That exchange sparked not only a friendship but the beginning of a journey rooted in faith, creativity, and service.
The two married in April 2024 and welcomed their daughter, Selah Mikelle Boose, into the world on February 7, 2025. As a family, they embrace a life full of joy, adventure, and purpose—frequently chasing road trips, hiking trails, and spontaneous moments that reflect their playful and passionate spirits.
From early on in their relationship, Minnie and Quinten discovered that their callings were beautifully aligned. Minnie, a professional performing artist, first received the vision for Remaining Rooted Collective in 2021. Her heart beats for expressive worship through the arts, while Quinten has always been drawn to community service and empowerment. Together, their callings merged into a shared mission: to cultivate spaces where worship, service, and creativity come together in powerful, transformative ways.
Today, Minnie serves as the Artistic Director and Quinten as the Executive Director of Remaining Rooted Collective. They're both a little goofy, a lot passionate, and deeply committed to seeing lives changed through the presence of God and the power of creative expression.
